VERY COLORFUL/Male Phidippus Audax+his killed mate/

I've been selective breeding daring jumping spiders the past year. I've bred the nicest female with the nicest male. After raising their spiderlings I got this spectacular male. In all my years of spider keeping/catching I never found a male daring this colorful.

Below is a female I caught today. I tried placing her with him to mate. He ended up attacking her for a snack, I pulled him off but it was too late, this is her(not alive).



I will have to keep looking for a nice female.

Normally I don't mind spiders/tarantulas but this is one I wouldn't hold hahahah, those eyes are freakin me out a bit

Their in small plastic containers. They are fed anything I find outside. The food has to be half their size. Feeding only once a week.
