I have had a water cow for awhile which last week developed a large bloated stomach that forces the fish to flip over. I hope I can find a solution quick because I don't think the goby can eat like this. I have forced some peas that someone said might force a passage but so far nothing. I have massaged the stomach as well hoping to help pass something that might be stuck. Has anyone ever seen this and can rapidly recommend a solution before it's too late. Thanks much.

Will the Epsom salts affect the others in the tank which include 2 African Frontosa, 1 Arawana, 1 Clown Knife Fish and 1 Plecostomus? How soon resutls? Should I continue to try and force feed if he doesn't eat? The water temp is 78-80 and I feed them live feeders for years from a known provider and freeze dried jumbo shrimp and brine shrimp and bloodworms. Thanks for your help on this!

Would hold on force feeding. Try 1-2 weeks w/o food and see if the swelling shrinks. The Epsom salt will affect the other fish but not irritate the fish. Safe with all fish I know.

I would put the dissolved epsom salt in the morning and watch the fish throughout the day to see if any issues arises.
