What do you think about this BD?

Hi,
Someone offered me this ray. It looks light/washed out to me. It's a 8" male. Apparently was kept in tap water for months so maybe that is why its light right now? What do you think about the quality/can it get dark in the future?

I don't think its a tap water issue. Not sure why it' so light, might be poor conditions

Looks thin and appears to be stressed from either poor conditions or being picked on. Or both.

The fish looks underfed. I would ask for some better shots of the tail, it could be a black hybrid as well.

Shouldn’t be the tap water I’m using tap as well. It should turn black when it grows older. First pic is 11 months ago and second pic is today. Took couple months before she started to darken up.
