Can pleco L-183 Ancistrus dolichopterus be good with a temp range of 76f-86f ?

I believe it can , but keep getting to much conflicting info.

tank temp range is not because of a heater.

10 degrees is quite a shift, is this seasonal or daily? if it's seasonal you should be fine, but remember, plecs need a lot of dissolved O2 in their water. So I recommend you add a power head with venturi, or at least an airstone when you start getting into the 80's.

Yah I have plenty of dissolved O2 temps above eighty are from may to september so about 4-5 months, sometimes six months of above eighty degree water.

I have a powerhead that has airline tubing so as it shoots out water it sucks in air from the room and creates noise, and more 02 than my air pump. when it gets above 84 i can also use a spare air pump on the tank.

Also would L183 take water with ph of 7.6 and water hard, if not what can i do to get the water conditions in the acceptable range without emptying my wallet.

7.6 is fine, the higher 80s (85+) might not be such a good idea. Are these temperatures common, or occasional? In the first 500 meters, plecos are one of the toughest fish around. In the long run, they may not do so well if kept at higher temps.

One of the easiest ways to bring the PH down in the aquarium is to add loads of driftwood as well as Indian Almond leaves. You can also add peat into the filter if the problem persists. I personally use these methods because I hate playing with chems such as PHdown. Good luck.:)

The temps over 80f are seasonal,86f for the day and 84f for the night temps in summer, and for instance right now the temp is at a stable 75f, 24/7 now that the heat of summer has subsided.

I will get a heater only if the temp will go below 73f, this winter will be the tanks first winter.

would i be able to keep L183 with an albino bristlenose pleco in my 25 gallon dimensions are 10.5inW x 36inL x 15inH.

or would i be just better off with two bristlenose

or just the L183
