When I put my bubble wand on the bottom of my tank, all the bubbles stop coming out...so I have it placed in the middle right now o.o

I tried using a pin and poking some holes today, the bubbles got bigger but still disappear if the wand gets put at the bottom of the tank :screwy:

It's a 10" wand in a standard 55g tank, bubbles from the air tubing come out fine at the bottom of the tank(if i take off the bubble wand)

What type of air pump are you using? Sounds like it might not be strong enough. Have you tried another pump to check for this yet?

Most likely your air pump is too small; the further down the bubble wand goes the more pressure is needed to push air down the tube and through the wand to over come water pressure.

You may need a new wand. First, check the point at which the tubing connects to the wand... it may be clogged...

If I had to make a wager...

I would bet that you may not have a strong enough air pump for that type of wand...

What are you using for an air pump?

It says tetratec ap80 115volts? :O
I bought my tank used, along with the air pump.

The pump came with a ton of extra tubing(where the air travels) that I wrapped around my stand, would that make the pump weaker? :O

^Yes... your making the pump work harder and push further. Cut down the tubing to the length you need plus a few more inches for extra slack.

see if that makes a difference. If not, then air pumps are cheap enough that you could easily buy a new one if you had to.
