Where to buy native fish

Does anyone know where I can purchase some native fish? I know Allan's aquarium sometimes receives some sunfish on accident and I'm usually quick to pick those guys up. I also know there are some restrictions regarding the sale of native fish (I'm not sure what they are) so I always have to buy another fish and they will just give me the sunfish. So I was wondering where I can buy native fish and if I cannot buy them, where I can easily collect some myself (I live next to lax so somewhere nearby)

Illegal to buy native fish in California from any place IN California. As long as you buy out if state you're fine.

onlines your only choice. Unless you collect but I don't know CA's policies on keeping WC natives.
