have you considered a static cling privacy film?

... on my 210 I put a hunk between the overflows that looks sort of like water.

Picked it up at Home Depot.

I attached it to a sheet of template film from a place that makes natural stone counter tops and hung that behind the tank.

If the problem with the regular aquarium stuff is that it isn't tall enough ...

try what I did on the 56 tall - I trimmed out a bunch of the top (with a razor knife) of an image so the plants look like they are in the tank ...

The 2cd picture isn't good but you can see the heater is in front of the plants.

A guy on another forum said he is using black lawn and garden trash bags applied with the window tint process. I don't think it gets much cheaper then that.

:(referring to the fabric's sheen, like paint surfaces, flat paint vs. glossy? fabrics also have flat or...eh..glossy...
oh yeah!

In photography there are fabric background that prevent flash back - I think some of the fabric is called muslin its used as a back drop.

went and looked at fabric
but then i thought what if it shows the stains.
so i figured i would go to the lfs and get the black backing with blue on other side.
had to use blue cus of stains.
also my tank doesnt have trim so i had to get 32" tall backing cus of the ruler on the bottom.
pics are around here.lol
