I’m asking some of the ladies and gentlemen who have been around in the hobby for a long time. I finally cracked my last impeller for my Whisper Diatomagic filter(motor still runs like a top 20 years later). I use this for photography as it does work like magic to remove every single spec of particulate in the water column. So I’m asking two questions please, does anyone still have the manual to show what the part number is or anyone have an old filter around and you’re willing to sell the impeller?

I'm also here for this information! Been looking for at least 2 years for a new impeller for mine. Have had this filter since high school. The fan separated from the magnet and all attempts to epoxy it back together lasts about 5 minutes. I literally registered today for this!

Thank you for the picture and I actually found mine too and went on the hunt for an impeller with the part number. Tetra hasn’t made that part for 30 years and gave me some ideas on where to start but they all ended up on dead ends.

Tetra scolded me when i posted on their site under an other impeller part if they have something that would be an equivalent replacement for the Diatomagic. Since the last post on here, I had ordered spare parts for my Fluval 407 and experimented with the impeller from the fluval in the diatomagic and while it fits the compartment with a little play, the plastic fan/blades are not as wide as the original. it did push water though, but i didn't run a filter session. I am due for a water change and plan on using it with the 407 impeller, fingers crossed it works.
