White stringy poop

My favorite little fish so far my male sajica has been pooping white, I'm guessing it's an internal parasite or something. I don't have any spare tanks to seperate him. Will salt work ?

Internal parasites possibly. Is the poop segmented?

Praziquantel - for tape worms and some parasites
FlUbendazole(Kusuri Wormer Plus from the UK) for the rest of the worms and it also has a mild effect on Hexamita if dosed a couple of more times.
New Life Spectrum Hex Shiled food for internal parasites, e.g. Hexamita/spironucleus.

I'd get the Kusuri wormer plus and the Hex Shield. Follow the intstructions on both, can do it at the same time. If that doesn't sort out the poop. Do the prazi afterwards. Prazi is effective for worms that are normally caught in the wild so aquarium fish are less likely to have those but is also effective against some opportunistic parasites that the other meds can't sort out.

All are quite safe unless you have inverts in which case the Flubendazole can some.

If the poop is segmented, try prazi first.

Don't separate the fish, treat all.

If one has it chances are others will too. I would say treat em all

Okay thanks for the reply guys I'm going back to my lfs to buy the prazi or the blue cube looking thing the lfs told me to get. I'll just treat them all in case any other has them.

He eats bloodworms but not any pellets

Is his poop segmented? If it is not, don't bother with the prazi as a first.

What is the "blue cube" looking thing?

Meds are not miracle workers. Its better if you have a certain reason to use a certain med. Otherwise you're making things worse by just medicating for the sake of it.

metro, NOT prazi in this instance.

Soak the entire tanks food in it. This sounds/looks more like hex than anything and prazi is not going to cure hex.

Will get metro tomorrow and treat the whole tank, thanks

Get some Epsom salts as well. Metro is best used as a food soak as I mentioned, Epsom salts can be incorporated into the soak as well to help the fish flush their systems while the meds take effect.

UPDATE- as of today I have treated tank with a med that I got from my lfs since I had credit there. I treated twice so far after two days. I did a water change today and raised up temperature to 82 it was 78
I'm going to add some salt and hope it gets better but I'm bummed out big time seems he might not make it. He just hides out or next to heater face down. He hasn't ate but hasn't pooped white either. He still chases Around the female sajica in the tank when he sees her
I also took out carbon before starting treatments. All the other fish are eating well and healthy
