Hi guys, I'm new here from Taiwan. Don't know if it's right to post this question here. I'm sorry If anything wrong. I have a 6*2*2.5 foot tank with one 1.5 foot silver arowana, one 1.5 foot alligator gar and a 1 foot Saddled bichir. They all just eat pellets and all acted normal until last month.I've already searched all solutions and asked other fishkeepers here but neither one can fix the problems. So I come here to see if anyone can help me.
First of all, the bichir becomes less active and eats much less than before and just lie on the floor or hide behide the filter. Second, the alligator gar often twist its body and rub the front glass with its mouth. Third and the most important question, the silver arowana also twist its body like the gar and often do the vomit action without truely throw up and it also becomes less active and eats much less than before.
Somebody here in Taiwan told me that the problem may be the waterflow is too strong, the air pumper is too strong(or weak), the water quality is not good...etc. Someone even said its normal to those fishes which get around 1-1.5 foot. All I can say is I tried all things I can do, but they just keep acting weird. Please help me! Thanks!
