Will cherry shrimp eat fish fry?

I recently had a swordtail give birth and of course they are munching on the fry, but i have a 10g shrimp tank with red cherry shrimp in it and was wondering if i could use my shrimp tank as a grow out until the fry are big enough to live with the adult swordtails.

Cherry shrimp only eat algae, they will not touch fry.
