Alright, so, somehow I have some fish infected by these.
I have no "how" my fish could have an outdoor parasite, other than when I introduced some live plants a good while back, there were possibly snails which held the larval form of this annoying parasite.
Anyone have a clue how to rid my affected fish of the yellow grub (Clinostomum) parasite?
At night, these things push to the surface, leaving open wounds.
I wasn't able to identify them until today when I did some deeper research.
Right now, I have a GM Flowerhorn with a huge popeye, from what I thought was an injury, but turns out to be a grub on the inside of his eye. The stupid little thing popped his head out this evening, and I recall seeing some just like it before on the left side of my severum's lateral line last year.
I thought I killed the parasite off with a parasite cure, but I guess I was mistaken.
Research tells me these things can live for years in a fish, and eventually kill it.
How do I ultimately clear my tank of these pests? Seems they are only in the tank I introduced live plants to over a year ago.
