Few shots of the zacco with a little fin rot in the new 40g nano community in the works..

- zacco
- goldie
- opsarichtys evolans
- t barb
- spinibarbus denticalus
- 2 x clown loach

Noticed the tail rot a few months ago & used magna salt & helped quite a bit. With the nano tank I haven't used salt yet but will start treating again with pima/melafix or maybe even betta medication. Trying to get him a female but he's gotta look good before she gets here :)

Anytime I've had fin rot I used api FW salt and upped WC from once a week to twice. Before I found salt worked so I good I would drain a third of my tank every night, turn off all the filters and then the tank into a giant dip of paragaurd for 2 to 3 hours

Thx Brett only reason i don't want to use salt in this tank is bc i used salt for 6 weeks or so in his old space and think he might be getting immune to it? it worked tons 1st few weeks & now just staying the same so..i could prolly just give a little break then go back again..

In this tank i can't use canister or sump since there's another tank below & that tank is pretty much my little marine tank also w/hang-on filter + getting super sick skimmer for it to make up (or try & make up) for lack of preferred filtration.

lol since it's my laundry room basically i go there smoke a few times day & actually do small 2.5 gallon water change pretty much just about each cig! only tank i do major water change on is my catlo tank these guys are messy but super fun to keep. zacco prolly my fav fish i keep now
