So my Escondido has a what looks like a zit or ingrown hair right where the dorsal fin meets the body. I tried to take pictures but i cant get anything that actually is visible on the pic.

Has anyone see something like this? It literally is right on the body where the dorsal fin grows, even the fin itself is white in that section as if it was a hair, although i know it isnt a hair

Ok I was able to get some decent pics.
Somebody please tell me what's going on here. It's definitely getting worse.

I've done some googling and i guess it's possible but it doesnt look like the pictures ive seen. I also noticed that he's not trying to scratch it off on anything like some have suggested. It also looks like it's part of the dorsal fin, not next to it or on it.

Can I treat for anchor worms just to be safe or is that a bad idea?

I can try... i'll probably have to dismantle the entire tank so he can't hide. Do you have suspicions as to what it might be? I'll try to get him out tonight when i get home.
