I know this is considered a low grade and with the black on the fin its probably a female. She was $7 at a pet store though and at 2 inches she is having a great time in her 65 gallon grow tank, really interactive and turning out to be a great pet. I'm Just wondering if it is a ZZ or kamfa or maybe something else. Thank you for the help in advance.... Turns out I am having problems with uploading a pic, tried a few times. my email is Jcbrandt77@gmail if you can help. thank you. used a screenshot of my pic so my file was smaller. didnt help.

Definitely a female, and it's a zz. Nice color for tail. Red dragons, zz, etc has red eyes and your female does too so yeah

I had kamfa, all of them had good pearlings and but doesn't have red color on their tails like your and definitely no red eyes, their eyes color is different. I have a fry like your that I bought a petco right now.

He's have red eyes, red color in tails almost he exact same twin like your but not pearlings. I have over 8 tanks in my house and about 12 flowerhorn a, my brother and I are flowerhorn addicted lovers

Thank you Khoi Ta. We had 5 tanks here( peacock cichlids, a FH, tropicals, some fry tanks ) but are down to 3. I really did hope that it was a male when I bought her but she was such a small fry that I took a chance since she pushed the rest out. she picked me and I'm not disappointed. I didnt want to buy a bunch of them ( at $7 ) and cull them out. I understand that is a part of the hobby/selling and I wasnt looking to sell so I went with the fish who made it a point to make herself ( turns out) known. in 10-12 years or so maybe I'll get another.

If I get females, I always return them. But you can keep your and maybe get a good male in the future on eBay or other local pet stores and breed her with that grade A male
