Had to get my fire eels early as there was only 2 left even though my dedicated tank is not here yet.
they are very active and eating straight away which is a good sign.

New tank is 318g or 1200ltr. I only plan to keep one but since they are very rare here I wanted a spare.

At least in Melbourne you can order online. Yeah these 2 were $175 each at the LFS. Everything in WA double the price it’s annoying.

I grew up just down the road in endeavour hills, I’m out in the west these days.
That’s very cheap for fire eels, last time I saw some here they were $450 each. It’s rare to see them for sale at all out here, last time was a few years ago.
They look great, would love to have some eventually but way out of my price range at the moment

Apparently my LFS bought them as a live food product for human consumption. Genius
