My dad loves parrot cichlids, and he's been meaning to get a king kong parrot for a long time now. The problem is, he wants to put it in a 30 gallon. We've been arguing about this for weeks, maybe months. He says that our (already overstocked) 30 gallon could fit a king kong parrot, just one. The worst part about this argument is that at one point, he saw a fish keeper keeping a single king kong parrot in a 40-60 gallon. I've said multiple times, not large enough, fish will be stressed, but he insists a single king kong parrot could live happily in a 30 gallon. Is he right, and if he's not, help me convince him to buy a larger tank or pond.
No wouldn't add anymore fish if aquarium is overstocked especially a cichlid.
