Logging the pond and it's inhabitants

The last red growing in the tank was ready to go to the pond, and monsoon being a good time for the move, i went ahead and reduced the water in the pond.

Even in a large pond, before adding a new arowana it is prudent to Stir things up before the new specimen is added.

So this gives me an opportunity to catch them and have a better look at them.

Here are a few pics I took of the largest red and a tin foil barb

Well here's a video of the fish that actually was introduced to the pond yesterday.

The tinfoil barb is bright! Nice fish!

Those are some ridiculous colours! It never ceases to amaze me how well fish colour up under natural sunlight.

heres an update from today morning.

currently there are only asian arowanas as i lost all my south american arowanas.

i have a few other grow outs in the tank as well

the dragon pit on 25-11-2023

and heres one of the new reds that i am growing out

also picked up a new malaysian BBxb in october, heres a video of it when i released him into the tank
