I know this has been reinvented a million times but here is my version:
It is a 1" overflow but is seated inside of a 2" pipe. It is a bit more compact and clean design.

BTW it works EXACTLY like the original sticky. I have more pictures if anyone is interested in the step by step on how to do this.

Yeah, it works just like the original sticky version. However the pipe that the tank water flows into is a 2" and the 1" that flows over the side of the tank is inside of it. I did some calculations and there is the same square inches available in the 2" as there is in the 1"

so it flows into the 2" then back up the 1" then over the tank? is the other 2" pipe for a siphon break or what?

i like the idea .. because you dont need to have the 2 pipes inside the tank .. and 2 outside .. much more clean looking..

The other 2" acts just like the pipe from the original. Allowing it to restart in case of a power failure.

Worked great in a test run, started and stopped it, restarted no problem. The glue is drying right now, so I won't have it completely hooked up for a bit.
