I have one discus remaining in my 250 litre tank. I'd like to use up my ocean rock that's been stored in my garage for some time

I'm looking for suggestions on stock?

Or maybe a wet pet?

You could do more cichlids if you like cichlids. Convicts would work, EBAs would work, maybe a Salvini.

Do you intend to keep that long Discus? If so, scratch all of what I just said, as they would be way too aggressive for your Discus.

Tank mates for your Discus could be:

1. More discus

2. Angelfish

3. Tetras

4. Cories

5. Rams

6. Clown Loaches

7. Siamese Algae Eaters.

I hope this helps!

Not sure what you are asking. Experience? And the experience of respected fishkeepers I have talked to on forums and conventions over the last 18 years I have been keeping mbuna?

To have any kind of selection of species, you want a tank that is at least 48" long. 48x12 can work but 48x18 is better.

When stocking African cichlids, tank length plays one of the most important roles. Longer tanks give fish more room to claim territory and allows fish being chased to have enough space to get away.
