Can you keep the 75 gallon and still get the 125?
With an extra fx4, you'll be fine with 2 of them on the 125. I run 2 tidal 110s and fx2 on my 125 with a young Oscar, red shoulder sev, sveni, reg blue acara and 10 columbian tetra with no water issues.

Why not find a home for the rescue Oscar? It shouldn’t be that hard, probably much easier than trying to make it work
Yea I'm sure he can rehome at a lfs or on marketplace. Someone out there has a big tank to take the rescue.
Got the 125. In process of figuring out how I want to use my old 75 as a sump for the new set up. Gonna get away from canisters. Also looking for the extra water volume. Gonna keep the two Oscar’s going foward with my new setup.
Awesome, that be all that 125 will be able handle on stock. Watch them get a growth spurt especially with that awesome 75 turned sump. Good luck and keep us posted
