Just wanted to share a pic of my tire track eel. Currently about 12 inches.

Nice patterning although it’s not a tyre track eel.
Looks like mastacembelus dayi the black spot or leopard eel.

Is there any way to ID the species? Was sold to me under the name zigzag eel.

After looking into mastacembelus dayi I think you are right on the species. Here is a quick video I shot of his morning feeding.
