If you have driftwoods in the tank check around it and see if you see saw dust “ poop” good indicator that it chewing and eating the wood. Than you can try algae wafers at night if it still to shy to eat.does anyone have any tips for enticing a new BEC pleco to start eating?
Agree with algae wafers. Throw some in and leave it for the night. Relatively shy eaters esp early in transition and when small. If you have driftwoods in the tank check around it and see if you see saw dust “ poop” good indicator that it chewing and eating the wood. would rather deal with the poop than the fear of waking up and finding a $400 fish deadIt looks perfectly find to me, once it settle in and really start eating you going to wish the poop would stop coming.
