Hello to all,
I would like to seek assistance to try and mimic the most natural habitat for a gar in an aquarium please. Examples: scaping, water level (shallow water or deep), any rocks/stones and so forth.
All helpful comments will be really appreciated. Thanking you all in advance.

I recommend keeping water high but a 1 inch gap for the gar to take in oxygen. Driftwood piece center and maybe a couple of large rounded stones.

You indeed did, that’s so natural looking. If I may ask please, what are the plants at the bottom please? They look like a beautiful nature carpet. Furthermore, the patterns on the Gars are splendid.
All the same plant. Water wisteria. Except for a few pieces of hornwort
