Catfish for 70 Gallon tank

I don't know much about catfish. But I would like to get a small to medium size catfish that would do good with my jack Dempsey, 2 blood parrots and a pleco in my 70 Gallon tank. I went to pet smart and the lady there recommended I get an eclipse catfish wich she said would get 18 inches I think that is a little large for my tank but I don't know.

Do pictus cat fish have to live in schools

They don't have to but they're more active in groups. Look better too IMO as a group swimming everywhere.

Do you know any thing about eclipse catfish

Have one myself. Can be kept in groups. Will hide a lot if you give the chance. Not finicky with eating. From India and are cb now.

Someone in the video section has a nice tank full of them. Nice catfish for sure.

Do they get big

If I remember they are about 6inches. Mine is about that size and thick too. A beefy small catfish for not so large aggressive fish.
