Is there a specific temp that helps induce breeding besides clean water and food?

I keep their water around 80f. My pair are steady breeders but first lay was after a water change with cooler water. Not sure it made any difference.

I'm at 79 constant. I don't know if warmer or cooler is the trigger point

Male has shown no interest in the female he's been in the tank with. There is a divider in the tank but lately either no interest or even trying to snap at her through the divider. Was going to remove the divider soon but I believe that would be a mistake. So I'll give this a shot for next few months and if it doesn't work out I'll rehome the females and keep him as a wet pet.
