This is so exciting! I noticed that MFK is sponsoring Ron Coleman as one of the guest speakers. I am currently enrolled in a three year course called Authentic Science Research (ASR for short). As part of this course, students are required to choose a subject that interests them and after much research, begin to conduct original studies in the field. I have chosen to study the fascinating topic of cichlid diveristy and evolution. Part of this program involves finding a mentor to help aid in these studies. Students are encouraged to pursue possible summer research programs being offered, or even work side by side with a researcher. I have contacted Ron a couple months ago, and now I am hoping to visit his lab in Sacramento. It would be great if I could go during the ACA convention. I'd love to meet some MonsterFishKeepers.
