Feeding feeder fish and aggression

Had a quick question about feeding feeder fish. I currently have a clown knife, about 3.5 inches. He hasn’t actually ate in front of me, but I’ve been feeding him a red worm every night before bed. I was just wondering if feeding him worms and not feeder fish would curve aggression for when he gets bigger. I know it’s kind of silly because his natural instinct is to eat anything smaller than he’s is... I really don’t want him beating up on his tank mates.

Hi mate, my answer to that would be always keep tankmates that can handle his aggression.
I used to have one and was housed with mbuna cichlids, and when I dropped a worm or beetle in there he loved it.
They do have an aggressive nature so forget about small placid types.
