Nice, those look like some husky Crappie and 'Gills. You should use this post and start the new thread "2017 Fishing season" since you were the 1st person here to catch fish in the new year alonfg w/ markstrimaran

Technically it was the last day of 2016. The crappies were pretty thick. Lost a bunch when it hit the bottom of the ice hole.

When I was pulling the fish threw the hole. They would hit the bottom of the hole and the hook would pop off.

I guess it really depends on how light they're hooked. Or I just don't know how to pull them up.
