Tank is trucking along nicely.
It’s been a minute as the kids would call it these days! Hope these tanks are holding up on you guys. I’ve had some ups, had some downs, a battle with cyano and mainly trying to control hair algea these days but seeing good coraline growth now.

Am I concerned about my shrimp? Nope! He takes about two ghost shrimp from my tongs and he is fat and full after, he usually even denies the 3rd.

I’m no stranger to the ups and downs. Turns out using tap water that has phosphate levels higher than the test kit reads was not such a good idea…finally started using RO to bring that down. My evo has been made into an unofficial coral qt for the time being, as my euphilia and other lps hate me for it.
But all fish are doing well (had to go into qt for an ich outbreak) and the fallow clock ends next week. My psycho female occy hasn’t killed her mate or the coral beauty in the cramped qt so I’ll consider that a win.
Somehow I don’t have any pics, but everything is on the upswing now and the tank looks amazing.

Who knew how much of a blessing it was to get ich in FW vs SW haha I actually had my clowns lay eggs which was cool. I need to lay a ceramic pot in so I can take it out and try to save them next time.
If only there was a simple, reef safe, treatment…

Glad you two both posted updates. I have been wondering how the bigger tanks were going. Ups and downs pretty much defines this hobby. My corals are doing amazing. I have been giving frags away to friends as they outgrow my designated areas. I think my mushroom is splitting right now, Duncan’s just started a new round of heads and zoas are nuts. The sympodium is spreading like crazy as well.

Tank looks amazing - one of the best evils I’ve seen!
