I planted a Amazon sword a local fertilizer mixed with aquasoil topped with sand in a pot
Removed a severum which was already in tank and did a 50% waterchange
Today I wake up to foam forming on sides and cloudy water with arowana in tank
Pls help if my arowana is in danger
Currently displaying normal behaviour

A local fertiliser?????
What does this mean, you’re putting plants in your tank with aqua soil and a fertiliser you have no idea what is in it?

Foam/bubbles are often caused by too much protein and nutrients.

On a separate note, why does the aro have split and torn fins already?

Normally I wouldn’t say the aro was in danger but if you don’t know what’s in the fertiliser, how are we supposed to know if he is in danger or not?!

Torn fins are a result of tailbiting
Which eventually stopped when I added the severum and some dollars which were then removed when one of the dollar mistook the barbell for pallet and 1/4 barbell was gone (recovered) dollars were then removed due to this behaviour.

And now again from few weeks I am again seeing tailbiting I did the research which resulted in no potential solution

I was looking for something else when I came across this article. I don't know if it will help, but it does talk about foaming at the surface.

You can accept that the plant is Severum food and don’t replace the plant.
severum gonna do what a Severum do…
it‘s their nature

the bubbles form when surface tension is high
