keeping a baby (2.5in) in a 12 gal and have had him for like 3 weeks and today we got him a discus buddy. all the older one does is pick on the new guy now and i dont want this to result in a floater so what can i do? i thought discus do good in numbers and are peaceful? they are like the same size and were living in the same tank at the store w/out problems. tank is in shape and just added more plants.water is fine. HELP
ps. i know the tank is small, im growing them out! so dont tell me :grinno:
thanks in advance :clap

your guess is probably right, tank too small and the one was established in the tank. before adding any they should be in a bigger tank.

no, not really. hex tanks usually cost a little more and with that extra money you could get a bigger tank. is this a 20hex you already have?

A larger tank and more discus will help! It is like the smaller barbs such as tiger barbs the more you have the less aggressive they will be...
