What makes you say that? Ime most tours consist of 90% boredom 5% fear 5% looking round thinking wtf.Drafted into the US Army in the end of 1969, spent all of 1970, and part of 1971 in Viet Nam, always though it was funny when I'd see small gouramis and barbs for sale for lunch.
Bet what I did was a breeze compared to a tour in Afghanistan.
Found this today, thought I would share, me twenty eight years ago...

Started out as 13B10, made it to 13B20 before I MOS changed to 13E. Was 13E20 for a while, went back to the guns to 13B30 Section chief. When I got out I was a Platoon Sgt of four Paladins 13B40.Appreciate your service. What was your mos? I was a 91B10 Army grunt medic.
Ya Korea is a hardship tour or it was anyways when I was in, no family or anything can come with you, unlike Germany etc. I never went for that one reason. Thanks for your service to all the MFK Vets who have posted here! Couple of hours ago I had a Skype video with my nephew in the Army (currently stationed in South Korea) -- he's bored and sometimes frustrated, counting down the days til he transfers back to US in fall, badly misses his Mustang!
