Here's a little update on what consumed most of my free time last month......

I acquired a crazy nice 180 gallon I planned on using as my pup nursery. Then I tried to sell it but no one wanted it so I set it up in my living room. So how did I compliment one of the nicest tanks I've ever had? Simple - put some of the nicest fish I've acquired over the last year or so in it.

Once the bio reactor is fully seeded and tumbling properly my ray pups will join, but for now just fish. RARE ones.

Big thank to WES! I think 95% of the fish in this tank came from him.....

PS - Turn the volume off, I didn't realize the TV was so loud.

Nice video and fish. Didn't realize the eel was so active. You got those cudas from Wes I wanted.

Thanks!

Funny thing is the eels almost seem to patrol. There's usually one pacing the tank, BUT it's not always the same one. When they smell food all 5 usually come out. They used to eat floating pellets right off the surface till I tried housing ATF with them. The eels and cat fish are all kind of bashful right now. The ATF they were kept with kept them all in the rocks and scared the crap out of the eels when they went for pellets. One of the larger ATF even sliced one of the cats clean in half. I tried a smaller ATF with the cuda, but as you can see from the marks it didn't last - even a day to be exact. Everyone in this tank seems to really appreciate the ATF being gone......

Exceptional fish. Reminds me of a 180 I had set up in about 2005, except your fish are a little bit more rare. My cuda/tigerfish combo worked out though.

Awesome tank, and I'd definitely say you have at least one lac out of those pics couldn't tell which were different except the one with the rounder head. He looks to be a different species.

I'm sure I could get the cuda ATF combo to work using different ATF or at least more appropriately sized ones. I've had very little issues with my Tatf, but the VATF I have pick on anything smaller. Fine with a big group of Odoe, but give them something smaller and they just run a muck so I'm just going to leave them out of my peaceful living room tank. Same reason I opted to house the Gold Wolves with the Odoe and ATF.

Current stock list -
1 Black Aro
1 "Green Lac" from Ken
1 "Green Lac" from Wes
1 "Red Lac"
5 Gymnothorax Polyuranadon
5 Ornate Pims
6 Cuda

Once the reactor is ready I'll add the pup tank - 3 CB Marbles and 4 Pink tailed Chelceus. Might swap out Black Aros too..... The guy currently cruising the top water in this 180 looks a little cramped. Mite swap him with the smaller one that's residing in the pup tank.

I'll have to get a vid of this tank at night when the eels and cats are out, pretty neat to see the different groups out and about.
