What really struck me were those icy blue eyes against the mostly burgundy/brown shaded body. It's such a beautiful contrast.
definitely, when the light hits their eyes sometimes they look glowing.
How big are they roughly? I am tempted to try a solo male in a 40G but am debating if the tank is too small.
the males are about 5 inches, the females about 3. Not sure if I would just get one. get a few if possible. They are slow growers so you could keep some in a 40g for some time. but ya long term its probably too small
Thats pretty much what the LFS guy said too, the problem is my kid gets attached to all the fish especially if I get them small and grow them out and then she gets upset if i sell any of them.
Yours look great so will certainly have to think about it.
