Natural Pleco habitat

After catching at least 1 adult 12" pleco with every cast of the net below the falls, and in the rapids, in the Rio Chorrera, its no wonder even my juvie Panamanian plecos prefer to hang out below cascading effluents, to the extent, that they will breech the waters surface to feed upon splash algae.

Here is Chaetostoma fischeri (?) caught in similar riffles and rapids of a different river system (the Mamoni), in a more eastern area of Panama.
