Turns out I was wrong the sexes are the same as the rtm. The females grew quicker, the biggest one is trying to pair with a bigger male andinoacara rivulatus. He seems to be accepting her and his female is hanging out the other side. I don't expect anything but thought I'd share. If they spawn I'll post updates
Here is a shot of them, her egg tube isn't showing yet but I suspect it will soon
There was a spawn however only a handful and literally 5 lol hatched. The rest of the eggs turned white. When I came home the fry were gone, the male went and spawned with his female. I've removed the hybrids and plan to give them to a friend. I don't think there would be any benefit from this pairing other than curiousity of what they may look like.
