Very nice soecimen! You say he's almost ready for his next enclosure, what size tank will he need now?
His final home with me and the next tank i have ready is a 230gal 5'x3'x2'. Been waiting for him to reach 24" so he can breath easy in it. Should b a great footprint/fit for him being only 24" tall with lots of floor space.

Finally got an upgrade :) 5'x3'x2' 230 gal...should suit him well for many yrs...been waiting for him to be long enough to breath easy. He's at 22".

5yrs old… about at 36”…currently in a 450gal 8’x3’x31”…still the most active lung ive ever kept. Quite often up and cruising around. hes cohabbed with the chalecus for a good 3 yrs, de scaled him a cple times but its fast enough to get away for the most part lol… just added the giant danios from another tank i broke down. Hoping there fast enough to be off the menu. As for the goldfish… some “make it” some dont… they help clean up un eaten pellets and poop… if there smart… they get to live ??

Much appreciated man ?? wish he stayed white lol… seems to be getting more black pigment as the years go on ??‍♂

38” gettin thicc ? ?… been debating giving him my 650g 9’x4’ footprint but its a liner tank. Worried he may bite through. Currently in an 8’x3’ 450g…
