Looks like a grumpy male. I'm mixed on 397; of all my pleco it seems to hide the most and is least endearing - at least my L333 and L204 would cover their eyes and consider themselves hidden - sort of like what your male is doing but still... really love my 204. I guess 072 and 128 are fine fishes but 204 will always grab me when they fully display themselves - previously posted so repeat:

Hum. I have 7 or 8 and want to one day try to breed them. My understanding is they require a strong current and soft acidic water to trigger breeding but not really sure.
