Silver dollars at Fish Story Aquarium and Rescue

Not a great footage because I can't turn the light on neither get close to the tank because of the jumpy GATF but here are our 14 smaller SDs in 240 gal. We have three more, much larger red hooks, ~10" disk, in 4500 gal but they are hard to film because they stay far away from window. There was a fourth one but fell prey to a 3.5' arapaima, which was immediately rehomed.

Two larger common ones are rescues we have had for several years. New guys - 9 little red hooks and 3 wide bars / blue hooks - I just got in Nov-Dec 2017 from snookn21 in Ft. Myers:

Really enjoyed the video. I'm a big fan of SD's. Great seeing them swim in that enormous tank. I currently have six Tiger Stripe SD' s in my 120. Got to luv em.

What is the usual life span of a common SD?

One of ours, a rescue from 5-6 years ago, has thrown in the towel and I'm not sure why. Looks healthy to me. It grew to 6.5".

You know how old it was prior? I'd guess no more than 10 wouldn't doubt less though
