Absolutely not for many reasons, but you could do a single JD maybe with a medium sized catfish
Or what would be cool would be a few delhezi and Senegals with a small group of hujeta or African brown knives

You want fish that mature at or less than six inches if you want to do African Rift Lake cichlids. IME only the big haps are predatory and thus too big for a 48" tank.

Haps and peacocks are carnivores, but if you are looking for a fish that you can give feeders to throughout it's life, I would look elsewhere.
