Yah online is always going to be pricey for garnet but there's many different brands/grit sizes too. They usually range from $50-120 for 55 lbs. If you can find a local sandblasting place, usually only $20-$30 a bag (55lb) locally.

I don’t know why I didn’t think to try a sandblasting place lol I tried landscape supply stores etc…

Same kind’s we’ve already talked about and really it depends on what you like as far as numbers. Just the more you have the more work it is

Don't get their 36 grit though, it is brown, not the pinkish-purple color you want.
It's not always brown. When I ordered mine, one bag was the purple pink and the other brown. The color turned out pretty decent after mixing the two.
