Go for it, Joe! Aros and rays combo always make beautiful show tanks!! :headbang2 My first ray tank (mixed comm, actually)... was a 55, then a 125, then 240... Actually now considering making the 450 into a ray tank sometime in the future soon?!!

How was the ATF with the ray, did he ever show any agressine at all? I have been wanting one for a long time, but with the teeth and all, not to sure how the combo would be. Any advice on keeping the two together would be great.

sweeet! looks bigger then a 100gal. tiger fish seem to look bad azz like a barracuda

if i go through with letting a acrylic companies make my tank would be 15'X48"X32-36"

otherwise ill do my own DIY tank. I'm thinking that would for sure be the cheaper route

Only downside is you can only see the tops of the fish. If you have the money and are willing to spend it on the tank I would do that. IMO in the future, if you go acrylic, you will really be thanking yourself for it.

what i mean by a DIY tank is actully makeing my own tank, not a pond. it will have a viewing window. like joe's DIY shark tank.. seen it?

Hey Andy, this ATF was actually kept in a 900g comm. tank with many other fish, including a breeding pair of leos (see pics below) and another Forskali ATF (2ft.+). so I knew it was used to being kept w/ tankmates. It never really showed any aggression towards the rays... but some other fish, it would!! :grinyes: But mostly would be fish that would catch it's attention somehow (sudden movements, going up for air, shiny fish, such as characins/ barbs/etc.)... but as far as stingrays go, no! :)

The only actual way to see if you can keep ATF w/ your rays is try??.... Suggestions or advice??... Try keeping one in a trial & test tank w/ other fish that are not too expensive or valuable to you? Grow one out and raise it on non-live foods? Get one that's smaller in size than the rest of your other fish. I'd say it all depends on the ATF's personal temperment and behavior. Hope this has helped you in any way??... Good luck!! :headbang2
