awesome.. i'm a strong believer that fish can indeed live a longer life than normal if they're cared for well (like a couple of members on here saying 50 years)
it's nice to see though that 20 year mark if it's taken care of well..
i sure hope it isnt something that will last 3 years.. i hope i'm a better fish keeper than that
i figure that if i ask many many questions before hand, keep things like it's living parameters in my foremost thoughts constantly (chem levels etc), feed it a balanced diet and talk to it that it should be healthy enough to be alright for a REEEEEALy long time
that's the plan anyway.. as long as i keep remembering that it's another life i'm responsible for i figure i should do well to take care of it... i mean.. it didnt ask to be sitting in a smaller than wild sized tank in my house..
i dont think i'll allow it to take over my life or anything.. but fish keeping is definately something i enjoy
AAAAAAAnyhow..
before i get carried away..
i'm going to get to my current fish (discus, angels, barracuda, pleco, shrimp).. they'll be happy to be in their new home.. but i'm tryin to get on doing more frequent water changes because well.. i'm tryin to kill the algae level in the tank.. seems to be workin.. i change the water max every 3-4 days and it seems to be working well enough..
it's only a 40 gallon aquarium so the bioload is up there.. i figure i've gotta keep on the changes either way..
AAAAAAAnyhow.. see.. i talk too much!
keep the info coming!
GLAD to read it!
