L25, scarlet pleco. How much did you guys pay for yours?

I've been on a hunt for L25's, I just found out that I can order one from a LFS but I thought the cost is way too much for a 3" scarlet, they are asking for 350... is this fair?

I'd like to know how much you paid for yours, the size and your location.

I just want to compare, Thanks alot.
 
$75.00 @ ACA 2009 - It was probably about 3.5" at the time.

I want to add.... Any price that you see on here will be completely subjective. Since this species was banned from export, the availability will slowly decrease. This will cause an increase in price. Hard to say what they are worth right now as they are not available. It basically falls on how much you want to pay.
 
Here in Singapore, it costs $280 - $320 for a 3"-3.5" specimen (do note that these are captive bred ones) and WC Sao Felix L25s go for $400 - $500 for the size stated above.
 
I understand that prices varies that's why I asked for locations also.

I would want to make sure it is L25 if I pay 350 for one and not L114 or L24.
 
A good L024 is worth as much to me as a L025. I think I paid $400 for my 7" L025 from Ohio this year (not a 7 pointer).
 
Yes, i just contacted my LFS for L24 pricing and hoping it would be cheaper than L25 but he said its the same. He'd give me a better price if I buy 10 or more... haha, I can't afford 10 L25 or L24 @ say 300 a piece.... thats alot of money!
 
L-24's and L-25's are almost impossible to find so $350------I guess if you really want it. I wanted a few for a long time but just kinda gave up on them, I purchased a few adult L-114's and like them . A lot of vendors will claim the bann is lifted on them or will have some soon but that is just a bunch of bs.
