not really mate.. but unusually this summer has been seeing a little rain.. my dad was also telling me about the same thing.. will work somethin on that.. cheersdoes your area always rain ? it provide good water top-ups too ,maybe some mods on the roof design, but you have to make overflow drainage pipe to prevent over flooding
Thanks brian.. i've been looking at the water level from yday.. it hasn't gone down.. but i don't want to get too excited about it as well.. will give it a couple more days and see what happens.. if it is still goin down will try it with a salinity test.. cheers mate.. and btw.. how much salt for this volume of water???If you want to test whether it is evaporation or a leak, then add salt. Test your level of salinity, then wait a couple days. You will have some evaporation, even with a leak, so you will need to refill the pond with freshwater before retesting salinity. If it is just evaporation then salinity will be the same as salt does not evaporate, so nowhere for it to go. If it is a leak then salinity will decrease as salt will leak with the water.
