iv not owned all of these guys so i cant comment on them all but i will rate what i have owned
1-by green texas i think you mean h.carpintis (not the biggest or the most able but hates allmost everything i put in a tank with him and was relentless in harrassing other fish
2-managuense (not really overly aggressive but very terratorial, mine is pretty tame unless something goes in his space then he flips)
3-trimac (the most puppy dog fish that iv owned pulls away from confrontation but is very personable, he is still only about 4.5 so there is still time for him to change)
very strange how peoples experiences differ greatly
Ime dovii are most capable of physically dismantling another fish however my male is inquisitive of me and doesn't bite when I put my Hans in the tank. My Midas, on the other hand, bites and draws blood when I'm in the tank but has lived peacefully in a mixed community of young fish.
I never seem to have any crazy aggression issues with any of the 'bruisers' but have noticed that certain species behave aggressively at a younger age than others. Obviously smaller growing species mature at a smaller size but as for the large growing cichlids that I've kept dovii are nasty from the time they are fry.
I think the best answer is that they're all aggressive fish, potentially kill-everything-in-the-tank hyper-aggressive fish...with the exception of green terrors, which, in my experience, are pretty mellow.
