Ah man, sorry for loss. That was a beautiful fish. Any new additions on the horizon?
Thanks majinn and cockroach.. ya i should prob get some more aros.. there seems to be a domination issue within the 3.. the largest two are almost the same size so no issues.. akira and gandalf.. the smallest is ninja ninja.. gandalf seems to bully him.. and this guy does give it back sometimes.. weird.. its totally calm when the sun goes down.. but come daylight ninja ninja is pushed to the bottom.. he only comes up after sun down.. i should prob look for girl aros (based on the assumption of the pelvic fins).. prob 3.. and you guys do understand how asian countries have a thing for feng shui etc so people will ask me an arm and a leg.. but ya i'm not ready to do that.. so i'm gonna put up an ad sayin i will adopt if they can't take care or prob offer the least i can.. well lets see.. cheers guys..

Somethin that i felt today.. first hand.. i'm sure for most of us here.. one of the toughest parts of fishkeeping is to give your fish away.. when you've raised em from little 3" size fish to 16" monsters.. I had to let my pacu go.. been deliberating this for like a couple of months.. i gave them to a breeder friend.. they def will be with like a shoal of pacu.. water quality may not be that great but ya they'll be wed fed.. the reason i had to give them away was they were getting a little too much to handle.. kept eating everythin i throw for my aros or RTC after finishing theirs.. nipping at my aros at times.. they were only scared of the RTC.. the drive back home was really weird.. the thought that i won't be seeing them again a lot is bothering me.. just wanted to get it off.. sigh.. and one more thing.. if you can't take care of pacu don't buy em.. well just don't buy em.. they are best left in the amazon.. :) :(

Never thought i would be able to get the algae off the tiles.. but then 6 hrs of scraping later this was the result.. all i needed was a couple of safety razor blades.. Thats the current stock in there minus my beautiful girl aro - afro(r.i.p) and the pacu - king and kong.. gave them to a breeder friend.. I can't hear myself in the video.. but this is all i'm saying.. cheers..

Worth the effort I reckon.

I love the small shoal of oscars. I think you need at least 2 more to replace the pacus. :)

absolultey.. :) that def is some satisfaction.. its tough for me to get oscars at this size.. i'm actually looking out for lutino or albino and red.. prob 4 more.. raise em as juvies.. the tank does look a lil bare.. but i guess the jaguars and red devils will be around 7" to 8" by december.. then i can move 'em in..
