Yes. It's been weeks now and you can still see what the HOB did to the three. No color and no spangle.
I wish i had a better light over my xingu tank to test this theory. I have multiple hob filters on my tank and my xingu is all spangled up :)

In the air and I ain't comin down!
Any thoughts on ph from my addition I say little if any difference. Idealy Kendragon has the optimal set up Hulon being next and me the last of us all but do we like the results of pH being a factor I say very little evidence at this time but I do like what I see so far. Come on guy's we need more info and imput from all you other Xingu owners observation's opinion anything you add would be a great addition to this thread.

Yes sir Mike that is why were doing this public comparison of sort's to get all view and opinion's from experience. I and most of have laway's believed the above statement and agree with it 100%. But it's those sutle difference's that were looking for ultimatly in the end when we all see and have followed there progression. (I appoligise for all spelling error's) Kendragon to me is the leading and by far the head runner out of this shing dig but I still do it for the OG's so I raise mine that way. I do want to say I don't do anything to obtain my pH and I don't think the others do ither.

We all as keepers have a set style of keeping even after my 22 years of Fresh Water bliss I still find I have old habbit's that need to be broke. I am learning daily from the Old and the New we all have a thing or two to learn from someone out here.

So reading between the lines, pH affects color?
It appears your on the low ph and me in the middle 6.6 and Hulon on the high end at 7.6. I am compileing photos and try to get them all in one post today. I have no idea but we have something to compair right now I guess we could post up last week's diet before update pics and ph also to keep track. Basic data I am sure were all doig at least 50% W/C 2x's a week so there is that for a medium. All basic's attribute also when tank changes are made usual upgrade's.

Im sure we are all good on are wc's...but tank size also plays a factor in that. I do 1-2 wc's a week of 50-70% on a 130g tank. I also still have my solo xingu(friggn wish i had more xingus), in w/ my 4 orino's. There is a huge size difference. Im guessing my x is about 5in while my orinos are around 3-3.5in. The orino's run that side of the tank...the xingu is a sissy!

I'll try and get a few pics and ph when i go over to my brothers house. Also having my fish over at his house makes it much harder to feed them like i would.
