Thata boy VL, I knew you would get this tank sorted.
What is your opinion of Max ARC and it's ability to be applied?
Could you have just used Pond Armor and fiberglass cloth instead of Max?

Thanks..

Yeah I probably could have used just the Pond Armor with the fiberglass had I done this to begin with.

To cover the bottom in fiberglass & epoxy I used 2x 1.5 gallon ACR kits of epoxy. So around $170 worth of epoxy.

Lesson learned here is use the MAX ACR and fiberglass first, then coat with Pond Armor afterwards.

I am leaning towards eliminating the Pond Armor due to Cost and just use ACR (If there is another tank build someday).

Max ACR is thinner than Pond Armor so it is very easy to work with. Roller, brush, scraper all was easy to work with using these tools.

Do you think the Pond Armor could be thinned to aid the fiber glassing?
I am think of getting some MAX also but also do not want to buy extra product if I can aviod it, as I have 3g of black pond armor already.

Yeah I think you will be fine with regular pond armor. My initial repair of the back leak was done with pond armor alone (not thinned) and fiberglass and that went well.

Infact I have a bunch of left over fiberglass matt that I need to sell if you are interested in a good deal.

New timeline (Assuming I don't let it sit full of water longer)

Wednesday December 21st - Drain & Dry then install background
Thursday December 22nd - Complete plumbing, Finish upper plastic install (Moisture barrier)
Friday December 23rd - Put in Sand & Rocks
Saturday December 24[SUP]th[/SUP] – Fill and start pumps to cycle filter

Maybe get some fish in there by Monday December 26[SUP]th[/SUP]

Filter has been pre-seeded with bacteria and I have media in the pond that I can suspend in the sump area as well.
